Mizuno · Super trainer
Neo Vista 3
A max-stack, bouncy super trainer with a reshaped nylon Wave Plate that gives the midfoot a springboard feel. Best at steady and marathon paces; the soft foam can feel sluggish when jogging.
What's new: Adds a new 3D-shaped nylon Wave Plate with a springier midfoot, plus a one-piece knit upper with more collar padding and a reworked heel counter for better lockdown; the foam is largely unchanged.

Deviate Pure Nitro
A plateless take on the Deviate, around 30g lighter than the Deviate Nitro 4, with a balanced NITRO foam ride. It copes with everything from recovery jogs to steady long runs and progression sessions.

adidas · Trail
Terrex Agravic SL
A full-Lightstrike Pro everyday trail trainer that borrows the Speed Ultra 2's rocker but adds a forefoot shank and wider base for stability. Grippy, durable and comfortable on runnable trails, though heel strikers may not gel with it.

HOKA · Trail
Torrent 5
HOKA's affordable all-round trail shoe gets a taller midsole and a protective rand. It is versatile for everyday dirt-path running, though the EVA foam and HOKA rubber are less premium than pricier options.
What's new: The midsole is about 5 mm taller throughout, with a revised engineered-mesh upper and a protective rand, yet HOKA says it is lighter than the Torrent 4.
